Basement playtime

On a rainy March Saturday we enjoyed a little basement playtime.  Here's Brooke and Dad playing in her Little People Village.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Brooke sends out Irish Kisses to everyone!  We tried to get some St. Patrick's Day shots, but someone was refusing to sit still...too busy running up and down the front yard hill.

With recent beautiful weather, we've been spending afternoons outside, often "playing" with the neighbor girls.  Here's Brooke with a bunch of them (she's held by a girl on the first step in the center).

Big Girl Bed!

To get ready for Baby 2 (6 weeks to go!) we've moved Brooke into her "big girl bed."  It is a full, that we bought when Dad moved into the house (2 weeks before our stuff arrived from NE).  Mom's been testing it out off and on over the past few months, due to pregnancy insomnia, and can guarantee it is very comfortable!

Anyway, Brooke's furniture doesn't arrive until mid-April (uh, yea, cutting it kind of close to the arrival of the new baby....) so her bed is resting on the floor for now -- which is actually best in case she "falls out."  The move into her new room has been quite successful!

Greg & Erin visit, and random photos

Our good friends Greg and Erin visited this weekend.  Brooke was thrilled to have new faces to entertain and had so much fun with them!  Thanks again for visiting!

Sunday morning of Greg and Erin's departure, Dad cheerfully volunteered to dress Brooke.  Well, Mom knew the Red Wings were playing the Blackhawks that day (which they (the Wings) won!), so a certain shirt of Brooke's was "misplaced" that day, as she cannot wear Blackhawks gear when they play Detroit, any other team okay, but not Detroit.  One day she will choose which team to cheer for, and until then we will not sway her. 

WELL, Dad improvised, and down comes Brooke in this oversized jersey.  Mom wasn't amused, though Erin and Greg got a good laugh out of it.

The day before Greg and Erin came by, Mom was busy cleaning the house.  It was sort of quiet so I went into Brooke's playroom (aka our living room, which has been converted to a toy depository) to see what she was up to, as one is always suspicious when things are quiet...  Low and behold, Brooke was sitting quietly with Maddie, reading her her books (or a photo album in this case).

For March Brooke is sporting her St. Patty's Day outfit.  The "milkaholic Brooke" is never far from her cup of milk (aka "nilk"). 

21 Months Old

Brooke is now 21 Months Old.  For the monthly paparazzi session, she had to ensure Teddy Bear's fur was combed straight.
